Our partnership with began in 2019 recognising the need for clinical psychology trainees to have more experience working with tangata whenua before they become registered psychologists and work in critical frontline services. The partnership also allows whai ora greater access to psychology, aiming to reduce the barriers that exist around this. As part of this, the therapy work we do with clients from Purapura Whetu is free of charge.
The Psychology Centre has committed to the provision of evidence-based, culturally responsive psychological therapies and approaches. These include:

- Clinical psychologists at The Psychology Centre commit to engaging in regular cultural supervision.
- Clinical psychology trainees at The Psychology Centre will receive regular supervision and will attend relevant culturally-focused professional development.
